Around 30 years ago in a little town of Kitchener, Ontario, a woman named Judy lived happily as a wife to her husband and a mother to her two young daughters. Even though she was content, she longed for more. So she began thinking of ways to provide more for her family. Judy always had a passion for fashion and she adored wearing accessories, so she thought to herself, “Why not sell to boutiques in Kitchener-Waterloo?” Judy bought a big, black leather handheld carrying case and filled it with all of her accessories that she had purchased from a wholesaler in Toronto. Judy began going from boutique to boutique in hopes that by 5 o’clock her carrying case would be empty. Eventually, she began to venture out of her city; one carrying case grew into two, her home basement grew into a showroom, and her showroom grew into a warehouse.
2016 — Judy and John are at the helm of Red Coral, and together with their family and family-in-law (our staff members!) we are proud to provide beautiful items for women of all ages.
As we launch our new website, our new blog and our new look, in our hearts we remain the same, we’re just women who love fashion.
And so, every year as we attend our trade shows, we still use that black leather carrying case to remind us of how far we’ve come, and to always be grateful for all the blessings we have.
This blog is a new creation for us. We’ve created it just for you! Our Red Coral lady- she’s happy, she’s curious, and she’s a lot of fun! We hope this blog is a place where you can escape and share a few smiles with us, and if we’re really lucky, a few belly laughs!
So tell us about yourself-what do you like to read about? Who are your fashion icons? What are your favourite cities to shop in? Got any good (clean!) jokes?
Thank you for being a part of our journey. We hope you’ll enjoy your stay!

Love this!
What a great story!!! 😀
Your family should be really proud of your Mom! and she has you girls to carry on for her.
Thanks for reading Sherry! We really are proud of her! Hope your hubby is doing well!
Did she sell out on her first trip?? Was the carrying case empty from visiting the boutiques?
I hope you keep sprinkling little historical stories of your mom’s journey and some fun stories from your visits to suppliers or trade shows.
Red Coral was our first stop when Lloyd and I went on our very first Buying Trip for Nellie’s Fashions that opened in GFW NFLD in 1999…That’s when we meet John and Judy….My first time ever buying, I was nervous and never had a clue what I was doing…. they were both amazing with us, very patience and very helpful…I actually had more confidence in myself when I went to the next Company…..John and Judy became like family to us always a big hug when we saw each other…..On opening day my window was beautifully decorated with Red Coral Fashions, my customers loved their clothing line…It didn’t take them long before they became Red Coral customers…Many times after we retired from Nellie’s Fashions we would still visit them when we were to Ont…When I walk in stores today and see Red Coral merchandise, it makes me miss my boutique so much. John, Judy and their family are the most professional and sweetest people you could ever meet. I will soon have to make another visit…I’m so happy that I had the opportunity of selling Red Coral at my Boutique and getting to know such Wonderful People……Thank You John and Judy:)HUGS
….
Thank you Nellie for your sweet post!!! My mom read your post and she said she remembers you Lloyd very fondly. Next time you’re in town, be sure to drop by our store and ask for Judy! Take care and be well!
Of course
As all you know、A successful woman always has a man behind her….
Lol! I don’t remember if her first day was a huge success, but I do remember some days she’d come home with empty cases, and some days with half-full cases, and some days with full cases. But she always came home smiling! Thanks for reading Alex, and stay tuned- I’ll keep on writing about RC adventures!

I absolutely love your fashions that I see on TSC so I thought of going to see if you had a website and, how wonderful, you do, so now I can shop all year for Red Coral Fashions and not just when you come to TSC. Thanks to Judy and all your family for the wonderful work that you do. I am a plus size and would like to see more XXL fashions if possible. Thanks.
